Bangkok, Thailand-based hospitality technology provider Okkami has introduced a self-service kiosk that lets hotel guests complete supported check-in and checkout tasks, scan identification documents and collect or return room key cards, according to a press release. The iPad-based system connects directly to a hotel's property management system.
Guests also can review charges, retrieve billing statements and make payments where supported through an integrated payment gateway. Okkami said the kiosk is designed to shorten queues and reduce repetitive administrative work, giving front-desk employees more time to assist guests personally.
The kiosk adds a physical self-service option to Okkami's platform, which includes mobile applications, mobile room access, digital communications and artificial intelligence-powered guest engagement. Founded in 2016, the company said it supports more than 700 hotel properties and connects with more than 75 technology integrations.
