Avalue launches smart terminal lineup

Avalue Technology has introduced its ARM-based RPC Series of commercial terminals for self-service, retail, hospitality and other applications, according to a press release. The lineup spans 6.5-inch handheld devices to 55-inch interactive terminals, with configurations for ordering, checkout, patient registration and airport check-in.

The portfolio includes wall-mounted and countertop touchscreens with optional cameras, barcode scanners and card readers. Other models offer battery-powered mobile stands for flexible placement, while stainless-steel kitchen terminals can connect ordering systems with food preparation displays.

Selected applications can incorporate image recognition for automated product identification and checkout. The series uses computing platforms from Rockchip, MediaTek, Realtek and UNISOC to accommodate different performance, mobility and cost requirements.
