The nonprofit tourism organization Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County has installed a 24-hour outdoor digital information kiosk at its visitors center at 26 West St. in Annapolis, Maryland, according to a press release, providing travelers and local residents with round-the-clock access to destination information. Positioned between the Ellipse parking area and the building's side entrance, the kiosk is designed to help users discover attractions, services and activities throughout Annapolis and Anne Arundel County.
The touchscreen kiosk, supplied by True Omni, offers information on restaurants, hotels, attractions, parks and trails, transportation options and parking resources. VAAAC CEO Kristen Pironis said the technology reflects travelers' growing expectation for immediate access to information and allows visitors to explore the destination any time of day.
The kiosk complements the visitor center's existing services, which remain available seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through volunteer specialists who provide personalized recommendations and trip-planning assistance. VAAAC said the installation is part of its ongoing effort to improve visitor services and make Annapolis and Anne Arundel County easier to explore and navigate.
