Luxer One introduces BOPIS lockers

Luxer One has introduced its buy-online-pickup-in-store lockers to alleviate service issues usually associated with BOPIS, with 97 percent of Luxer One customers stating that they would use the locker pickup service again, according to a press release.

A customer retrieves an order at a BOPIS locker.

After placing an order online, Luxer One BOPIS customers get an email with a QR code. The email directs them to go to the order pick-up lockers at the front of the store, rather than waiting in line at the service desk. When the customer arrives at the store, they scan their QR code at the locker screen and a locker door will open automatically, revealing their order.

A recent study by Internet Retailer revealed that 57 percent of consumers are using BOPIS services. The majority of these shoppers are using BOPIS to avoid the costs and waits associated with shipping online orders.
