LiveX AI has introduced AI City, a platform that uses life-size, human-like artificial intelligence hosts to provide interactive assistance in airports, hospitals, retail stores and other public spaces, according to a press release. Announced Nov. 3 at Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, the technology uses NVIDIA computing and AI models to deliver conversational assistance, personalized recommendations and real-time navigation. The Palo Alto, California-based company said its AI hosts are deployed at more than 100 customer sites, including Puma stores, San José Mineta International Airport, SAP Center, El Camino Hospital and Marriott and Hilton hotels.

The platform expands traditional kiosk and digital signage capabilities through interactive 3D maps, location-aware navigation, product recommendations and multilingual communication. Its Physical AI Host experience uses LiveX's Lyra AI agent to coordinate speech, visual responses and user interactions in real time. LiveX said visitors can interact with the hosts hands-free without downloading an application, scanning a QR code or entering a password.

LiveX positions AI City as an alternative to conventional touch-screen kiosks and static wayfinding displays, offering natural-language interactions that can help visitors locate destinations, explore products and obtain assistance. The company said its technology also can extend customer service across multiple locations while allowing employees to concentrate on more complex requests.
