Global interactive kiosk market expected to grow 13.43 percent annually through 2021

The global market for interactive kiosks is expected to grow at a combined annual growth rate of 13.43 percent from 2017-2021, according to a report from Technavio.

Vendors covered in the report include Diebold, IBM, Kiosk Information Systems, NCR, Hewlett Packard, Panasonic, Samsung Electronics, SlabbKiosks, Flex, IER, Photo Finale, Meridian, Phoenix Kiosk and Rosendahl Conceptkiosk, according to a press release.

The report defines an interactive kiosk as a customized computer terminal that is either standalone or networked, which is used to access information and services at any time. It is a form of self-service technology used in malls, airports, hotel lobbies, cafeterias, theaters and other places that witness high footfall. An interactive kiosk consists of a monitor that is usually touch-enabled, through which people can seek the information of their choice. Service providers can cater to a higher number of customers with the help of interactive kiosks.
