German cash-handling and kiosk technology providerGeWeTe is expanding its U.S. footprint through a partnership with Betson Enterprises, targeting Georgia's Coin Operated Amusement Machine market ahead of regulatory changes set to take effect July 1, 2026.

The collaboration is aimed at helping operators adapt to new compliance requirements tied to prize redemption systems, according to aYogonet report.

Under the updated rules, COAM locations in Georgia will be required to use approved redemption methods, including gift cards. The companies plan to deploy self-service kiosks designed to automate redemption and reduce operational disruption, allowing operators to transition away from manual processes while maintaining day-to-day efficiency.

The agreement calls for GeWeTe to provide its kiosk platforms, while Betson will oversee distribution, financing, installation and ongoing service across the state. The structure is intended to offer operators a turnkey solution tailored to regulated gaming environments, combining hardware with local support infrastructure.

Executives from both companies said the partnership addresses both compliance and operational needs. GeWeTe cited Georgia as a key growth market as regulations evolve, while Betson emphasized improvements in efficiency, cash management and visibility.
