Residents of Glynn County now have an additional option for renewing vehicle registrations and obtaining license plate decals through a self-service kiosk installed at a Publix store, according to a Brunswick News report. The kiosk allows customers to complete transactions during regular store hours, including evenings and weekends when the county tax commissioner's office is closed. County officials said the system can process a registration renewal and print a decal in less than a minute, offering a faster alternative to visiting the courthouse annex.

Glynn County Tax Commissioner Jeff Chapman said the kiosk is designed to improve convenience while maintaining security through features such as facial recognition verification. A private vendor is responsible for maintaining and stocking the machine. Officials noted that Georgia residents can use any participating kiosk statewide to renew a driver's license or vehicle registration, and additional kiosks could be installed in other locations if demand is strong.
