  • Elo Touch Solutions CEO Craig Witsoe will step down in mid-November after more than 14 years leading the touchscreen and interactive display company. Witsoe called the move his "first retirement" following a 35-year career that included 15 years at GE and 20 years as a CEO. Longtime colleague Dan Ludwick will take over leadership as Elo moves forward as part of Zebra Technologies. Witsoe plans to spend more time with his family and become more involved with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, guest lecture at the University of Tennessee and serve on company boards.

  • SEB Professional Beverage has appointed William Yates as enior vice president commercial, giving him global responsibility for the company's direct and indirect business, according to a press release. The appointment brings sales and market service operations under a common leadership structure. Yates has spent more than a decade with Groupe SEB and previously served as vice president for Southeast Asia and vice president of marketing for Asia Pacific. SEB Professional Beverage's portfolio includes WMF, Schaerer, Curtis, La San Marco and Zummo.

  • Le Tram Recreativos Aventura Salvaje, a seafront arcade in Malaga, Spain, has expanded its use of Sacoa Cashless System technology with the addition of KwikPay, powered by Sacoa Cloud, according to a press release. The technology allows customers to pay directly at games with credit cards, debit cards or Sacoa PlayCards. The system also gives the operator real-time telemetry for monitoring game activity and performance. The arcade is a longtime Sacoa customer.

  • Kepak has released an updated guide designed to help vending and automated retail operators expand their fresh-food offerings. "Feeding the Future 2026: Unlocking Growth in Automated Retail," produced in conjunction with the Automatic Vending Association, examines consumer habits, food-to-go trends, food safety and operational challenges associated with chilled products. Kepak cited AVA data showing U.K. vending revenue reached approximately $4.13 in 2025, up 7% from 2024, while food represented 8% of total vending revenue. The report also points to changing vending occasions, with lunch increasing from 12% of occasions in July 2025 to 21% in July 2026. Kepak identifies workplaces, hospitals and travel locations as potential growth markets for expanded fresh-food offerings.

  • India Home has opened a technology-enabled food pantry and Smart Bites NYC vending machine at Jamaica Market in Queens, New York, according to a press release. The nonprofit, which serves South Asian and Indo-Caribbean older adults, said the technology is intended to make nutritious food more accessible to people who may face scheduling, mobility or other barriers to traditional food assistance. The Smart Food Pantry uses Zippin technology to provide an automated shopping experience and offers fresh produce, grains, refrigerated products and culturally familiar foods. The project received support from organizations including GrowNYC, Met Council, F.Y. Eye, Next50 Foundation and AstraZeneca.
