Residents of Sevier County, Tennessee, now have a new self-service option for renewing vehicle registrations with the installation of a tag renewal kiosk at the Gilreath Family Kodak Branch Library, according to a Paxton Media Group report. The kiosk, located near the library's checkout counter, allows users to renew registrations within 90 days of expiration by scanning a renewal notice or registration document and paying with a debit or credit card.

The kiosk immediately prints an updated registration and license plate sticker, providing a faster alternative to visiting a county office. The new unit joins a similar kiosk already operating at the Williams Family Seymour Branch Library. The county hopes to expand the program to additional locations, including New Center and Pigeon Forge. Each kiosk costs about $17,500 to purchase and approximately $2,500 annually to maintain, complementing the county clerk's main office and satellite locations in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
