Arizona senior community to get cannabis ordering kiosks

Cannabis retailer Life Is Chill and technology company LoveBud plan to install a marijuana ordering kiosk at Sun Lakes Country Club, an independent living community in Chandler, Arizona, according to a Marijuana Moment report. Scheduled to launch Aug. 19, the kiosk will serve the community's 2,000 residents and be available to more than 12,000 residents in nearby affiliated communities.

The kiosk will allow residents to learn about cannabis products and place orders for delivery rather than travel to a dispensary. Its "Easy Mode" includes large navigation controls, a streamlined ordering process and a curated product selection designed for seniors who may not want to use a cannabis delivery app. The companies also plan to waive delivery fees during a promotional day each week.

LoveBud CEO James Watkins said the kiosk is intended to address barriers that have made cannabis shopping difficult for older adults. Life Is Chill also plans to offer educational information and personalized guidance, while Sun Lakes officials said residents will be able to review reliable information and decide for themselves whether to use the service.
