March 6, 2018

Advanced Kiosks has introduced the Island Kiosk, a self-service solution that can accommodate up to four touchscreen kiosk stations and two printers, according to a press release.

The kiosk features a brushed stainless-steel enclosure and marine lacquered hardwood top and trim.

The unit can be configured with two full size printers, laser or thermal, and from one to four kiosk touchscreen stations.
Services provided include:

  • Self-service printing of documents and forms
  • Self check-in and queuing
  • Intranet, network or online access
  • 24/7 access to reduce staffing demands

Examples of applications include:

  • Promote upcoming events, advertising and special deals
  • Recruit users and collect sign-ups for programs
  • Manage employee benefits and other HR tasks
  • Provide users access to accounts for interactivity and maintenance
  • Manage visitors, customers or patients with queuing and self check in
  • Allow users to apply for memberships and other customer programs

The standard unit comes configured with two full size laser printers and two computer kiosk terminals. Each kiosk has a 19-inch horizontal touchscreen, a tamper proof Wi-Fi antenna, ethernet port, internal amplified stereo speakers, a 1.83 GHz Quad Core processor with 4GB DDR3 memory and a 60GB solid state drive.

Cloud access allows users to remotely manage, monitor and update all kiosks in the field from a desktop computer.

Home page templates provide a way to customize the kiosk screens that are presented to users and lock down access to only the content you wish to be available.

Upgrades are available for features such as credit card processing, web cameras and thermal printers with retraction control.
