Voting now open for 2017 Most Innovative Kiosk Awards

Kiosk Marketplace is excited to announce its 2017 Most Innovative Kiosk Awards, which allows readers to vote on the year’s most innovative kiosk deployments. A winner will be chosen in eight categories – financial, telecommunications, healthcare, restaurant, retail, tourism/travel/hotel, government and entertainment/gaming.

"The purpose of the awards is to honor commitment to excellence and recognize innovation," said Elliot Maras, editor of Kiosk Marketplace.

Readers may click here to vote and give the 24 nominated companies a score from 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest grade.

Survey respondents will be eligible to receive a $50 Amazon gift card determined by a random drawing.

The top winner, "The Kiosk Innovation of the Year," will be honored at the ICX Summit, June 5-7 in Dallas. A free report will be available for download, thanks to the survey’s sponsor, FujiFilm.

The annual ICX Summit explores technology available to businesses – retail, restaurants, travel, healthcare and more – for engaging consumers. In addition to awards, the summit offers sessions offering real-world examples of interactive customer engagement projects.

How the nominees were chosen

The editorial staff invited readers to nominate the kiosk they considered most innovative in eight separate user categories and to explain why they thought their nominee was deserving of the honor.

The editorial board received 40 nominations and narrowed those down to the Top 24 based on information provided by the nominees. Such information included an overview of the project or technology, the objectives of the technology, the problem the kiosk addressed and the size and geographic locations of the deployments.

"Nominees focused on business challenges that the kiosks addressed, such as reducing customer wait time, simplifying purchases and removing human error in customer orders," Maras said. "They also cited new benefits to locations, such as technologies that improve customer satisfaction, lower the cost of ownership, allow for smaller footprints, reduce maintenance, meet government regulations, improve payment collections and enhance security."
