Guests at Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino in Maricopa, Arizona, have donated $57,599.99 to nonprofits this year through its Caesars Makes Change program, according to a PinalCentral report. The program lets guests contribute their remaining change when redeeming slot machine vouchers at ticket redemption kiosks throughout the property.
Recipients include United Way of Pinal County, Soldier's Best Friend, F.O.R. Maricopa, Valley Humane Society, Veterans in Need Project, Against Abuse Inc. and Boys and Girls Clubs of the Sun Corridor. Barbara Achten, chair of the casino's HERO Committee, said the contributions demonstrate how modest donations can collectively support community organizations.
The casino is also accepting support requests through the program. Interested individuals and organizations can apply through the regional and property giving section of Caesars Entertainment's website.
