The rebrand is part of a broader initiative to align the company's identity with the expanding role it plays in its customers' operations. The same low-cost, high-reliability service operators have depended on for more than two decades now comes with a name that reflects the full scope of what the company delivers and where it's headed.
The name IDM — short for International Device Management — was chosen deliberately. It speaks to the company's core function: managing connected devices at scale. It speaks to the platform built around that function. And it speaks to the ambition behind it — a future that extends well beyond domestic borders and into the global unattended commerce market.
As part of its long-term growth strategy, IDM Wireless is also laying the groundwork for international expansion. With unattended commerce continuing to grow across global markets, the company sees significant opportunity to extend its infrastructure and device management platform beyond U.S. borders. While domestic operations remain the immediate priority, the IDM Wireless name was chosen in part to reflect the company's ambition to serve operators on a global scale — and to build something that travels.

Alongside the company name change, IDM Wireless is also renaming its device management portal, previously known as Allpoint Command, to IDM Control. More than a monitoring tool, IDM Control gives operators a centralized command center for their entire fleet — real-time visibility, remote configuration, usage intelligence, and billing management, all in one place. It's the kind of operational control that goes well beyond keeping a device online.
IDM Control has seen significant development over the past year, with new capabilities that give operators more control than ever before. Recent additions include automated power cycle scheduling and remote reboots with no truck roll required, cellular backup with per-device auto-failover configuration, full T-Mobile integration alongside Verizon and AT&T with dual-SIM support on compatible hardware, and 30-day daily usage reporting for tracking trends and managing costs. Operators can now also monitor connected equipment in real time and block unexpected devices directly from the portal. A fleet API provides secure, authenticated access to device health, connectivity, location, usage, and billing data — with full self-service API key management built in. IDM Control is actively expanding, with additional features already in development.
For existing customers, the transition is designed to be seamless. There are no changes to service, pricing, support contacts, or day-to-day operations. All existing service plans and hardware remain fully supported, and the leadership and support teams that customers have worked with for years remain in place. The name changes. The commitment doesn't.
The rebrand takes effect on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, with updates rolling out across the company's website, product materials, and customer communications in the days that follow.
