The Temple, Texas, tourism organization Discover Temple has installed an interactive visitor kiosk inside the Buc-ee's travel center at 4155 N. General Bruce Drive, providing travelers with on-demand access to information about local attractions, restaurants, shopping, events and lodging. Funded through the city's Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund at a cost of $10,730, according to a Killeen Daily Herald report, the kiosk is located near the main entrance and features rotating digital content along with direct links to the Discover Temple website. Visitors can browse information on museums, parks, trails, breweries and other points of interest while learning about the city's history and culture.

City tourism officials said the kiosk is designed to engage travelers who are already passing through Temple rather than relying solely on traditional marketing campaigns aimed at attracting visitors before they arrive. By placing the self-service kiosk inside one of the state's busiest travel stops, Discover Temple hopes to encourage motorists to extend their stay, explore local businesses and attractions, and contribute to the city's tourism economy.
