Travelers arriving at Shreveport Regional Airport in Louisiana now have access to a new interactive tourism kiosk designed to help them explore the ArkLaTex region, according to a KTBS News report. Installed in the airport's baggage claim area, the self-service kiosk allows visitors to discover local attractions, create personalized itineraries and send travel plans directly to their mobile devices. The kiosk also includes interactive features such as digital photo opportunities designed to enhance the visitor experience upon arrival.
Leaders of the tourism organization Visit Shreveport-Bossier said the technology provides a more engaging alternative to traditional brochures by offering travelers customized information and trip-planning tools. The installation comes as passenger traffic at Shreveport Regional Airport continues to grow, with the airport recently serving more than 800,000 travelers, a 12% increase from the previous year.
