Craig Witsoe, CEO of Elo Touch Solutions, said in a LinkedIn account post, he will step down in mid-November, concluding more than 14 years leading the company. The transition comes as Elo moves forward as part of Zebra Technologies.
Longtime colleague Dan Ludwick will take over leadership, Witsoe wrote.
In announcing what he called his "first retirement," Witsoe reflected on a 35-year career that included 15 years with GE and 20 years as a CEO. He credited Elo's employees, partners and customers with helping build the business and said its leadership team and culture would support its continued growth.
Witsoe plans to spend more time with his wife and family while increasing his involvement with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He also intends to guest lecture at the University of Tennessee, serve on company boards and work on his collection of vintage Cadillacs and Lincolns.
