California marijuana dispensary installs cannabis kiosk

Grasshopper Kiosks, a developer of self-service systems for the storage and dispensing of cannabis products, has installed a kiosk at Berkeley Patients Group in the greater East Bay area of northern California, according to a press release.

The Grasshopper automated self-service sales system streamlines transaction times, tracks inventory and payments, and collects real-time data about sales trends. The kiosks sell products from a climate-controlled, automated storage and dispensing system, according to the release.

Grasshopper systems are ADA compliant and were designed to work in accordance with the regulations that govern California's legal cannabis industry.

The kiosks can also be stocked with a dispensary's most popular items, creating a fast lane checkout for customers on the go.

The Berkeley Patients Group is the nation's longest continuously operating marijuana dispensary, according to the release.
