UC San Diego Health System is partnering with SeePoint, designer and manufacturer of interactive kiosk systems, to overhaul its check-in and vendor management system, according to a press release.
SeePoint's VantagePoint Print kiosks were selected by UC to renovate its check-in and vendor processing systems.
SeePoint kiosks will automate the check-in process and interface with the vendor management system. Vendors will use VantagePoint Print kiosks for verifying information, identification and credentials. The print kiosks will deliver unique UC San Diego Health System identification tags via thermal printing.
"We have found the biggest area of savings with the VantagePoint Print to be in the reduction of employees needing to manage vendors, and the absence of interruptions among already busy floor staff," SeePoint CEO Jon Arfin said in the announcement. "This kiosk is great for security, too. Before installing VantagePoint Print kiosks, UC San Diego Health System tasked security personnel with clearing vendor appointments, checking credentials and issuing name badges. This took attention and time away from other projects."
