(TPEx: 8050), a leading provider of industrial computing solutions, unveiled the IB966, a high-performance 3.5-inch single board computer powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 processors (formerly Panther Lake). Delivering up to 180 TOPS of total AI performance in its top configuration, the compact board provides powerful computing for real-time AI inference, machine vision, data analytics, and industrial automation at the edge.
Available with Intel Core Ultra X7 358H, Intel Core Ultra 7 356H, and Intel Core Ultra 7 355 processors, the IB966 integrates CPU, GPU, and NPU computing resources on a single platform. This heterogeneous architecture efficiently distributes diverse workloads across the most suitable processing engines, accelerating local decision-making while reducing latency, network traffic, and reliance on cloud processing. Two DDR5-7200 SO-DIMM sockets support up to 128GB of memory for data-intensive edge AI applications and demanding multitasking.
The IB966 provides extensive connectivity through dual 2.5GbE LAN, USB 3.2, USB 2.0, and two RS232/422/485 serial ports. Display options include HDMI, DisplayPort, USB Type-C with DisplayPort, LVDS, and eDP, while three M.2 slots support high-speed NVMe storage and wireless connectivity. Additional features such as 12V–24V DC input, digital I/O, Intel® AMT, discrete TPM, and a programmable Watchdog Timer support secure, manageable, and dependable deployment. The IB966 is ideal for machine vision, smart manufacturing, intelligent transportation, medical imaging, smart retail, and other demanding edge AI applications.
