1040TaxBiz has unveiled its new Virtual Tax Preparer kiosk system, designed as a telepresence tool to help clients prepare their taxes, according to a 1040TaxBiz press release. This system is designed to help retailers and other businesses offer tax preparation services without undergoing training.
In order to use the kiosks, clients will sit in front of a screen and enter a teleconference with a tax preparer. From there, the users can scan their documents and interact with the expert through the telepresence camera system. The tax preparers then file the documents from the 1040TaxBiz headquarters in Indianapolis.
This system is designed to store the documents at the headquarters, not at the retailer. Thus, according to the press release, this kiosk is an ideal solution for retailers who want to offer tax services without hiring a professional.
