Vending kiosk company denies involvement in marijuana industry

Vending kiosk company AVT Inc. recently stated it is not considering entering the marijuana industry, despite its prior involvement with cannabis company Medbox.

Vending kiosk company AVT Inc. recently stated it is not considering entering the marijuana industry, despite rumors to the contrary. Currently, some websites have listed the company as being involved in the cannabis industry, according to the press release.

The company clarified that it manufactured vending kiosks for a cannabis dispensing company called Medbox. AVT's involvement was limited to simply designing the machine, and it has not done business with the cannabis industry since then, according to the press release.

"We have built our company on developing and/or being the first to market custom automated retailing platforms for a wide variety of companies in a range of industries, including propane, carpet cleaning, health food, protein drinks and medicines," AVT President Wayne Salvino said in the release. "We work with businesses, retailers and entrepreneurs to help them expand touchpoints, build brand recognition, increase sales and minimize costs through our unique self-service systems."
