Australian kiosk supplier Vection Technologies has received a new order valued at approximately $3.3 million for its Accessibility Kiosk platform, according to a press release. The order comes from Italian technology firm Media Comunicazione, which plans to deploy the kiosks across Italy. Vection said the revenue will be recognized during fiscal year 2026 and brings its post-third-quarter order total to about $4.4 million.

The accessibility-focused kiosk is designed for use in airports, government offices, banks, museums and other public spaces. Built to serve users with a range of disabilities, the platform includes wheelchair-accessible controls, tactile and audio interfaces for visually impaired users and an AI-powered avatar capable of communicating in Italian and international sign language for deaf and hearing-impaired users. Vection said the kiosk has been validated at Italy's third-busiest airport, where it enabled 97% of passengers with disabilities to access services independently, compared with 38% for a conventional kiosk configuration.

Vection officials said demand for the platform is being driven in part by the European Accessibility Act, which became enforceable across the European Union in June 2025 and requires public-facing digital terminals to meet accessibility standards.
