Dreamcast has launched Ticket ka ATM, a self-service kiosk designed to speed ticket validation, printing and wristband distribution at concerts, festivals and other high-traffic events, according to a press release. Attendees can verify their admission by scanning a QR code or using facial recognition, then receive a printed ticket or wristband without relying on a staffed box-office counter. The company says the system is intended to reduce congestion during peak arrival periods.

The kiosk connects with an event's registration and ticketing database to verify attendees at the point of entry. Dreamcast says QR codes and facial recognition can be processed in two to five seconds, while personalized tickets and wristbands can be printed within 10 seconds. Organizers can deploy multiple kiosks at different entrances, with the company claiming a multi-kiosk configuration can process as many as 300 guests in 10 minutes, depending on the setup.

Ticket ka ATM also supports offline operation, allowing validation and printing to continue during temporary internet outages and synchronizing data once connectivity returns. A real-time dashboard gives organizers information about check-in activity, while the kiosk's portable design allows units to be positioned according to venue layout and expected traffic. Dreamcast is targeting the system at concerts, music festivals, award shows, comedy shows and other events where large numbers of guests may arrive within a short period.
