Stego introduces monitoring and maintenance sensor
Stego has introduced a "plug and play" sensor, the Smart Sensor CSS 014, to support predictive maintenance and condition monitoring in control cabinets and enclosures. The unit is designed for monitoring and installations.
The sensor detects ambient temperature and humidity and converts data into a standardized analog 4–20mA signal, which is passed to a control and monitoring unit that interprets the signal and initiates appropriate response measures.
The Smart Sensor CSS 014 has a temperature and humidity range from -40 to 60 degrees Celsius and up to 100 percent relative humidity, respectively. The unit incorporates a sensor, interface and transmitter in a single package measuring 140 by 40 by 38mm (5.5 by 1.6 by 1.5 inches). The device can fit into a cabinet with either a DIN clip or screw mounting and is connected via an M12 interface.
In addition to being suitable for installation and enclosures, the Smart Sensor CSS 014 can be used in a variety of application areas, according to IEC 61010-1/DIN EN 61010-1.
