St. Louis pizza chain adds kiosk, pizza vending machine in local airport

St. Louis-based pizza chain Crushed Red has added a self-service pizza kiosk to St. Louis Lambert International Airport, according to a ksdk.com report.

The kiosk, dubbed "Crushed Red Buy & Fly" offers pizza from a vending machine and salads and folded flats from a grab-and-go cooler.

"It's a truly unique invention that delivers a high-quality result," Chris LaRocca, Crushed Red founder, said in a statement. ""This project has been over a year in the making and I'm just glad it made the trip in one piece."

The pizzas are baked in three minutes, and the vending machine uses "touchscreen technology and a self-contained oven, according to a press release.
