Self-serve lockers let consumers preorder and pick up cannabis products

Grasshopper Kiosks has introduced a self-service locker that enables customers to preorder and retrieve cannabis products, according to a press release. The Grasshopper Locker can be located inside of licensed dispensaries, allowing customers to "skip the line" and obtain their products quickly.

Dispensaries that feature a Grasshopper Locker can direct customers to a website where they can select their desired products and mark the items for pick-up at the locker. The customer receives a code to enter on the locker touchscreen to access to their merchandise. The system can integrate into a dispensary's point of sale system, and is compliant with state reporting regulations.

The system provides secure product storage, and compliant, automated inventory and payment tracking designed to streamline transaction times while collecting real-time data about inventory and sales trends.

The locker can hold up to 36 different multi-item orders at any one time and features a compact footprint of under 6 square feet. 

"As the government continues to recognize the cannabis industry for the legitimate multi-billion-dollar business that it is, regulations are understandably growing more complex; even seasoned operators are looking to maintain their competitive edge," Martin Kaufman, CEO of Grasshopper Kiosks, said in the press release.
