Reis & Irvy's inks $1.9M franchise deal for Georgia

February 4, 2019

Robotic frozen yogurt chain Reis & Irvy’s has signed a $1.9 million master franchise deal for Augusta, Georgia, that includes contracts for 12 locations with another 24 in the future.

The robotic yogurt operation offers frozen yogurt, ice cream, gelato with six topping options. The robots eliminate typical franchise costs such as employee payroll and theft-related costs, and can be open 24 hours, according to a press releaseThe locations offer self-checkout.

The Augusta deal has been signed with Susanne Shepherd, who was once a Little Caesars franchisee.

"I really look forward to working with these frozen yogurt and ice cream dispensing vending robots," Shepherd said in the release. "While I enjoy working with people, there are many advantages to working with robots. Robots work the same speed no matter how long they have been working, they do not call out, do not ask for breaks, do not steal, they proportion correctly, and they are more sanitary than brick and mortar competitors. I look forward to the opportunity to bring this revolutionary idea to the Augusta, Georgia area."

Reis & Irvy's is owned by Generation Next Franchise Brands Inc., and has 298 franchisees across the nation. The chain represents more than 1,450 pending robot installations aggregating approximately $69 million, with additional contract commitments for more than 2,650 robots, according to the release.
