Pennsylvania city to replace parking meters with kiosks

The Scranton, Pennyslvania City Council gave preliminary support to a $9.3 million plan proposed by the outside parking system operators to renovate four garages and replace parking meters with kiosk, according to the Times Tribune.

A total of $1.8 million is earmarked for a kiosk system. Parking time bought at a kiosk would link to license plates.
