Kiosk manufacturer AVT Inc. has announced the launch of a retrofit kit to bring traditional kiosks designed by vending kiosk manufacturer Jofemar, up to speed with Food and Drug Administration nutritional information disclosure regulations, according to a press release. The kit, called the Touch Screen Retrofit, has an interactive touchscreen panel to engage and inform customers on nutritional information.
"AVT was one of the first companies to design and build an FDA-compliant vending machine, with all nutritional and caloric information properly displayed," Wayne Salvino, president of AVT, said in the release. "Our new TSR kit allows owners of older-style Jofemar machines to get compliant, while attracting new customers with ease and affordability."
The kit is designed to provide "modern design, technological advances, interactivity and easy-to-read displays," according to the release. AVT believes this kit is ideal for companies who want to bring their kiosks up to speed without investing in a new unit.
"This retrofit market is enormous," Salvino commented. "Jofemar has been manufacturing vending machines for over 40 years, and I am pleased that AVT can now offer a simple, elegant and affordable solution for the many traditional style units in use throughout the U.S."
