Infinite Peripherals Inc. has announced the launch of the Infinea Omni, a new self-service tablet kiosk integrated with iPad Air.

Infinite Peripherals Inc. has announced the launch of the Infinea Omni, a new self-service tablet kiosk. This kiosk is integrated with the iPad Air and provides 1D/2D scanning capabilities, according to the announcement.

Infinea Omni runs on iOS and includes motion-detect scanning capabilities and a lockable enclosure. It can also utilize Ethernet cabling for power.

"The Infinea Omni is incredibly versatile, with the ability to capitalize on the multiple capabilities of, and numerous applications for, the iPad Air," said Mark Uppaluri, senior director of strategy at IPC. "It can be used as a price checker; for self-checkout; transportation check-in and boarding passes; and time and attendance terminals, among other applications."

The Infinea Omni is available now for purchase.
