FuelRod has expanded its self-service charging network to the USS Midway Museum and Balboa Park in San Diego, according to a Parade magazine report, giving visitors new locations to rent and exchange portable power banks while exploring two of the area's busiest attractions.

Del Mar, California-based FuelRod operates a network of more than 500 self-service charging kiosks at more than 50 U.S. airports, major theme parks, museums and other high-traffic destinations.

The new installations feature FuelRod's second-generation kiosks, which dispense two portable charging options: the upgraded USB-C FuelRod power bank and the higher-capacity MAX10 model. Both products can be exchanged for fully charged replacements through the company's nationwide Swappable Power Network, allowing users to swap depleted batteries at participating kiosks across the United States.

The expansion adds to FuelRod's growing footprint in high-traffic travel destinations, including airports, theme parks, resorts and entertainment venues. Company officials said the kiosks are designed to improve the visitor experience by providing convenient access to portable charging without requiring guests to search for electrical outlets or interrupt their activities.
