ChargePoint, a provider of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, has introduced Express Solo, a new high-speed electric vehicle charger capable of delivering up to 600 kilowatts to a single vehicle.
The system represents the company's next-generation DC fast charging architecture and is positioned as one of the most powerful standalone chargers in the industry, according to a press release. Express Solo will be ChargePoint's first DC charger to also be sold across Europe, broadening its reach beyond North America.
The charger is designed as a compact, all-in-one unit that delivers higher power density while reducing installation complexity and cost. The company said the smaller footprint makes it suitable for space-constrained locations such as urban gas stations and convenience stores. The system can charge up to two vehicles at once and can be paired with additional dispensers to serve up to four vehicles, offering flexible power distribution across ports.
ChargePoint said the new architecture is intended to address key challenges in scaling EV infrastructure, including grid limitations, charging speed, reliability and cost. The platform supports integration with renewable energy sources and battery storage, and includes features such as bidirectional charging and compatibility with multiple connector standards.
The Express Solo is part of a broader collaboration with power management company Eaton, aimed at simplifying deployment and reducing total system costs. The partnership combines EV charging hardware with integrated power infrastructure, enabling faster rollout and improved efficiency. ChargePoint said the system is designed to support long-term scalability while helping site operators manage energy use and expand capacity over time.
