Dollywood's Splash Country has become the latest entertainment venue to eliminate cash payments, transitioning to a fully electronic payment system on May 16, according to an Explore.com report. Guests at the water park can now make purchases using credit cards, debit cards and mobile payment platforms such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. The move reflects a broader trend among theme parks, stadiums and other attractions that are embracing cashless transactions to streamline operations and speed up purchases.

To ensure cash-carrying guests can still make purchases, Splash Country has installed Cash-to-Card kiosks throughout the property. The kiosks allow visitors to convert cash into prepaid payment cards at no charge, providing an alternative for those who do not use traditional banking or digital payment methods. Kiosk locations include the entrance plaza near the ticket booths and an area near the Riverside Trading Post wave pool locker.

The cashless initiative is also expanding to Dollywood Resorts, where electronic-only payments are scheduled to begin on June 11. Resort guests will likewise have access to free Cash-to-Card kiosks. While Splash Country and the resort properties have adopted the new payment model, the main Dollywood theme park continues to accept cash and has not announced plans to transition to a fully cashless system.
