The city of Charlotte, North Carolina, will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Aug. 20 to mark the installation of the first interactive digital kiosk under its partnership with IKE Smart City, according to a press release. The kiosk, located at the corner of Beatties Ford Road and West Fifth Street, is part of a broader initiative to deploy interactive kiosks throughout the city, including its Corridors of Opportunity.

City officials and IKE Smart City representatives will attend the event and demonstrate the kiosk for attendees. Participants are expected to include Mayor Vi Lyles, City Council members, Charlotte Department of Transportation and Economic Development Department officials, and Randall Sistrunk, IKE Smart City's vice president of private and public partnerships. The kiosks are designed to provide digital information and services in public spaces.
