Australia’s Beach Hut Media launches kiosks designed for retail settings

Beach Hut Media, a digital-media solutions provider headquartered in Sydney, Australia, launched its 2011 kiosks and components this week. The new designs include integrated digital-media platforms, mobile and integrated payment platforms and self-service check outs, said Beach Hut Media’s CEO, Brett Goldsworthy, in a press release.

“We have leveraged our experience with major supermarket chains and that of our RFID partners, Wise Media Technology, to offer a new extension to most major supermarket and department stores by providing integrated-digital media at point-of-sale, security verification, payment processing, self-service check outs and queue busting,” Goldsworthy said. “We envisage that many of the new designs will be used in casinos as the RFID technology works with table and chip management whilst providing players direct information about games and various activities within the casino.

“Using the Wise Media Technology RFID chip software allows for greater customer knowledge of their buyer behavior within venues without the need for excessive use of RFID readers, which means reduced overall costs to our clients,” Goldsworthy said.
