Aila Technologies offers interactive kiosk with ID scanner

Aila Technologies has developed a kiosk solution in response to the growing demand for ID scanning solutions that allow customers to enter information quickly and accurately, according to a press release.

The company’s Interactive Kiosk with ID Tray is a compact kiosk with an intuitive image-based scanner.

Unlike traditional PC-based systems that often have bulky, expensive peripherals, Aila's iOS-based interactive kiosk is self-contained. Users can scan IDs through its integrated scanner technology and the familiar touchscreen interface of an iPad.

Consumers benefit from real-time confirmation that accurately registered their information, whether from a government-issued ID, loyalty card, insurance card, credit card, student ID or work ID. Businesses benefit from the reduced administrative costs associated with such clerical activities.

An imaging engine integrated into the kiosk enhances the scanner’s versatility. Encompassing functionality usually expected of highly specialized, single-function scanning devices, Aila's image-based scanner can accurately capture both IDs and barcodes, in addition to 1D/2D barcodes, QR codes, Digimarc barcodes and more.

Because Aila's kiosk solutions use Wi-Fi-enabled iOS devices, the software receives routine, automatic performance and capability updates. Hence, as third-party symbologies and data-coded imagery evolve, Aila's software-based scanner will evolve with it. Unlike stagnant devices that will soon be obsolete, the platform will expand to meet changing demands.
