AIS intros new line of rugged multitouch screens

American Industrial Systems has announced the availability of its new family of industrial widescreen, multitouch interactive HMI monitors and displays with Windows 7 operating system built in.

The monitors have independent and simultaneous dual-touch capabilities that provide a gesture-based HMI interface, allowing functions such as pan, zoom and rotate — popular interactions that make control and monitoring more intuitive, the release said.

The displays have the ability to withstand extreme operating temperatures, vibration, dust and debris, with targeted applications in industries such as food, beverage, chemical processing, and oil and gas.

The full range of displays comes standard in 15.6, 18.5 and 21.5-inch screen sizes and also support panel, wall or VESA arm mounting.
