Target has deployed in-store kiosks to give shoppers detailed information on video game products.
April 14, 2011
Video game kiosks are in nearly every Target store in the country, thanks to Possible WorldWide's idea to increase in-store sales of video games and accessories.
The international marketing agency recommended placing interactive touchscreens on the aisle end-caps in the video games section to allow guests to quickly and easily locate products.
According to the case study, kiosks feature detailed product descriptions, images, ratings and customer reviews from target.com, and helps guests educate themselves about game content. Shoppers may also page Target team members from the kiosks and can email and text game information to mobile devices.
The touchscreens launched a 100-store pilot program in November 2009, and now they're in nearly every Target store.
