CETW: Kiosk serves as social-media marketer (video)

Consumers can take pictures and post them to their Facebook pages via photo kiosks.

May 5, 2011

Enhancing the customer experience is the No. 1 goal of iSnap's new kiosk, a photo booth designed to increase brand loyalty and social-media following for companies in the hospitality, resort, retail and entertainment industries.

The kiosk allows consumers to snap photos of themselves and instantly post them to their personal social media sites. For example, the kiosks are popular in Las Vegas hotel casinos, including Circus Circus, Excalibur and Luxor, said Alexander Lower, CEO of iSnap.

How it works

  • Customer photos are overlaid with the retailer's brand image, providing an avenue for brand exposure, social proof and messaging.
  • The iSnap cloud makes it all work. The cloud connects the brand to the world and collects demographic and user data, so the retailer can gain intelligence and segment campaigns.
  • Kiosk users often become Facebook Fans, Twitter Followers, or opt-in for emails from the brand.
  • According to Lowe, iSnap is a catalyst for customer engagement: Branded customer photos are shared with the world, and iSnap pictures are a fresh source of content for social conversations.
  • The kiosk provides a Web portal for retailers to access data, including pictures, posts, impressions, date of birth, gender, language, location and other metrics.
