Wales farm used vending to expand local food access

The estate also installed InPost parcel lockers near its Farm Shop and Ice Cream Parlour, giving residents a closer location for parcel pickups and returns in an area where alternative courier services are more than five miles away.

Lord Newborough, owner of Rhug Estate, said the additions are intended to better serve both local residents and visitors while supporting the estate's sustainability goals. The new services come during a period of expansion for the estate, which recently highlighted environmental initiatives tied to carbon measurement and long-term net-zero objectives, as well as recognition including a Royal Warrant from King Charles III and its status as home to the United Kingdom's largest bison herd.
