According to MSNBC.com, Wal-Mart stores across Pennsylvania may soon sell wine through kiosks located within its stores. Wal-Mart is participating in negotiations with the state regarding the installation of 24 remotely-monitored kiosks.
In order to purchase wine from the kiosks, customers would be required to swipe a valid driver's license and blow into a mouthpiece to verify they are not intoxicated before making a purchase.
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board currently operates wine vending machines in some grocery stores in the Susquehanna Valley, located in central Pennsylvania
