Nexistant Inc. announced today that its Virtual Attendant concierge kiosk is being piloted at the Cambridge Innovation Center's unstaffed office in Cambridge, Mass.
Used for remote lobby reception services, the Virtual Attendant is a high-definition videoconferencing solution that features skills-based video routing, remote device control and document sharing, and cloud-based reporting and management.
In addition, the kiosk's touchscreen provides user instructions, along with a life-size HD video display. The software providing sensory inputs, video routing, and reporting is delivered via cloud service.
The office's concierge team will be able to monitor lobby activity, proactively contact guests, answer calls from guests, share documents, note activity and track performance.
"Our team seeks to provide high quality service without hiring a dedicated team for this particular function at the new location", said Dave Lambertz, community leader at the Cambridge Innovation Center, which provides office space to start-up technology companies. "The Virtual Attendant can deliver an experience of a face-to-face conversation for our guests while allowing our team to efficiently cover a low-traffic area of our facility."
