Touchscreen firm TouchSystems recently announced that it had signed a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro Inc., the world's largest technology distributor. The distribution agreement covers North America and Mexico, includes all of TouchSystems' touchscreen products and enables TouchSystems to reach a broader market, according to the announcement.
The rising demand in key vertical markets utilizing interactive displays prompted TouchSystems to pursue a formal relationship with Ingram Micro, the company said. Teaming with Ingram Micro will better allow TouchSystems to meet the increased need for touch displays in the digital signage, point of sale, wayfinding and point of information markets.
Ingram Micro supplies technology solutions to thousands of resellers, who service small to mid-size businesses, the federal government, Fortune 500 companies and state and local governments. Currently, Ingram Micro is the only global broad-based IT distributor, serving more than 150 countries on six continents with the world's most comprehensive portfolio of IT products and services.
"We are very pleased and excited about this agreement with Ingram Micro," TouchSystems Senior Vice President of Sales Carol Nordin said in the announcement. "Ingram Micro's diversified distribution network will allow us to best serve our reseller and integration customers globally."
