The sensor detects ambient temperature and humidity and converts data into a standardized analog 4–20mA signal, which is passed to a control and monitoring unit that interprets the signal and initiates appropriate response measures.
The Smart Sensor CSS 014 has a temperature and humidity range from -40 to 60 degrees Celsius and up to 100 percent relative humidity, respectively. The unit incorporates a sensor, interface and transmitter in a single package measuring 140 by 40 by 38mm (5.5 by 1.6 by 1.5 inches). The device can fit into a cabinet with either a DIN clip or screw mounting and is connected via an M12 interface.
In addition to being suitable for installation and enclosures, the Smart Sensor CSS 014 can be used in a variety of application areas, according to IEC 61010-1/DIN EN 61010-1.
