Scannx LLC, a developer of cloud-based, self-service book and document scanning solutions, has appointed CCP Solutions, a value-added reseller of book and document scanning solutions for the library and municipal government sectors, as its exclusive reseller for New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Florida. Hundreds of academic and public libraries work with CCP to help control public access printing, copying and scanning, according to a company press release. In addition to controlling costs, CCP was a pioneer in introducing digital document scanning technologies into libraries to help accelerate research and collaboration for library patrons and staff, according to a company press release.
"Scannx has truly developed the next generation in book and document scanning solutions for library patrons and staff," Wayne Piskin, vice president of sales, CCP Solutions, said in the release. "In addition to offering scan-to-Email, USB, Google Docs, fax and USB, only Scannx offers such features as its patent pending scan-to-smartphone, and scan-to-tablet. What sets Scannx apart from all the other book scanning and copier vendors is its expertise in document imaging software."
The Scannx Book ScanCenter includes a 15-inch touchscreen bundled with the Scannx software that allows students and library patrons to scan books and documents into PDF, searchable PDF, Word, JPEG, TIFF and PNG files and automatically store these files onto any digital repository to support an organization's GOING GREEN initiatives. Scan-to destinations include email, USB flash drive, Google Docs, smartphones, tablets fax and printer. Once stored in a digital format, students can search, retrieve, edit, email or print those files from their PC. The Book ScanCenter also integrates with third party pay-per-scan usage and revenue sharing systems.
