Chula Vista, California will become the third site in the county library system to have an automated "Library To Go” book dispenser, according to The San Diego Union Tribune. An unveiling ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Nov. 7 outside the county Health and Human Services Agency's Live Well Center.
The kiosk can hold up to 348 items.
Donna Ohr, deputy library director, said the machine's books will focus on the clientele of the adjoining agency by stocking titles on parenting, healthy lifestyles and early childhood development, along with youth and teen books.
The next kiosk will be installed in Boulevard in December, and a fifth one is slated for Encinitas with no date set.
