Port of San Diego to install 30 interactive kiosks to promote attractions

June 6, 2017

The Port of San Diego will install 30 interactive kiosks in 2018 to promote attractions, according to NBC 7 San Diego. The kiosks will enable visitors to find restaurants, special events and entertainment.

The kiosks will be installed in the Centre City/Embarcadero section between Laurel Street and the Tenth Avenue Marine Terminal along Harbor Drive.

The Board of Port Commissioners chose IKE Smart City to develop and install 11-foot interactive kiosks. The kiosks will give directions that can be sent to cell phones and tablets, including information about ride sharing, a photo booth and public transportation.

The kiosks will provide information in multiple languages and an adjustable screen for the disabled.
