NRT unveils EMV solution for gaming industry

NRT Technology has released an EMV payment processing solution for the U.S. casino and gaming industry.

NRT Technology has released an EMV payment processing solution for the U.S. casino and gaming industry, the company announced.

The payment technology provider has installed the chip-card payment solution at Ellis Island Casino in Las Vegas. The system integrates with NRT's gaming and kiosk technology, allowing customers access to credit card cash advances, debit, dynamic currency conversion, Express Ticket and check cashing services.

"This is very complex technology. Implementing EMV from end to end is something NRT has a wealth of experience with. Our objective was to be the first provider up and running with this technology and we have done just that," said Michael Dominelli, vice president of NRT, in a company news release. "Now that we are live with this technology, I encourage our industry to migrate to an experienced EMV processor like NRT before the liability shift takes place."
